Maha: Some hosps report rise in ‘incidental Covid +ve’ cases
Quite a few patients seeking admission to hospitals for general health reasons and planned surgeries are testing positive for Covid during routine screening, some of the health hubs in the city and Mumbai have observed. "If I am advising 100 patients to undergo Covid test, five to six are testing positive. This incidental positivity rate among the hospitalised patients was less than half per cent during March-May," said orthopaedic surgeon Dr Parag Sancheti, head of Sancheti hospital.
