Madikeri CMC resolves to clear encroachment along lakes
Expressing concern over the rampant encroachment of lakes in Madkieri, members of the City Municipal Council (CMC), which convened on Friday, said that the situation was so dire that even moderate rainfall left many localities and thoroughfares inundated. To that end, the council resolved to launch a drive wherein encroachments along lakes in the town would be identified, and following a diligent process of verification of documents, the unauthorised structures would be cleared.
