Kolkata: Special raids to curb morning drink-drive
Lalbazar has decided to carry out special raids against drink-driving even in the morning on a “need basis” after an accident involved a drunk auto driver at Rashbehari Crossing. The accused auto driver was found to be ferrying passengers after consuming alcohol eight-times the permissible limit for driving. The Tollygunge traffic guard nabbed the driver following a complaint from a passenger who had found him reeking of alcohol.
