Kolkata schools add transition class for 5+ children
Some city schools have introduced a transition class for students who have passed kindergarten but are yet to turn six and hence don't qualify to join class I as per the National Education Policy, 2020. The latter stipulates that a student must be in the six-plus age bracket to be in class I.
