Kolkata: Rain-battered Salt Lake roads cry for repairs ahead of festivities
Several roads in Salt Lake, Kolkata have deteriorated due to continuous rain, causing potholes and large craters. The Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has not yet started patchwork, leading to frustration among residents. Traffic is affected as motorists have to navigate through the damaged spots. The police have sent multiple letters to the civic authorities requesting repairs, but nothing has been done so far. The civic officials claim that funds are being allocated in batches, and patchwork will be done before the festive season. Major repairs will be carried out after the festivities.
