Karnataka: New role will help advance upliftment work, says D Veerendra Heggade
Philanthropist and Dharmadhikari of the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, D Veerendra Heggade, who is one of the four persons to be nominated to the Rajya Sabha, said it's a great honour bestowed upon him by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "It was an unexpected honour, since there was no effort from our side. I'm also surprised that Prime Minister Modi has information about contributions made by people for the growth of the nation. So, he has conferred this on me, and I think it's a great privilege to work for the nation through this office," he told TOI.
