Karnataka assembly elections: Parties invoke fear of god in potential rebels 
Getting voters to swear in the name of god that they would vote for a particular candidate is not new. But in the run-up to assembly elections, functionaries of major parties are getting aspiring candidates and their supporters — especially in some seats in north Karnataka — to take an oath in temples to work for the success of whoever the party chooses as the official nominee.
