Kanpur man detained for abduction, death of 17-year-old girl
A 24-year-old man has been detained in connection with the recovery of a body from the railway tracks in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The girl, a 17-year-old student, had gone missing on December 20 and her body was recovered from the tracks the next day. It is believed that the man and another cousin of the girl had abducted her and that she had killed herself. The man is being interrogated in custody.
