IIT-Kharagpur experts to train cops to solve Kolkata traffic problems
Experts and researchers will train city cops to properly implement modern concepts of road safety. A programme has been organised by IIT-Kharagpur in collaboration with the transport department where 200 Kolkata Traffic Police personnel will be taught various safety aspects related to urban roads, like blackspot identification, safety at intersections, safety of vulnerable road users, the safe system approach and the role of speed management.
