Hinjewadi techie duped of Rs 21L in matrimonial fraud
A software engineer from Hinjewadi was cheated of Rs20.8 lakh in a matrimonial fraud. The victim met a man on a matrimonial website who claimed to be a senior manager from an oil company. They decided to get married and the man convinced her to avail a loan to buy a flat and invest in the share market. The man then took Rs20.8 lakh from her under the pretext of repaying previous loans and for the interiors of their new house. This is the second such case in a week registered by the Hinjewadi police.
