Heatwave, high humidity: IPCC’s warning for Kolkata
Kolkata will experience heatwave equivalent to the 2015 record almost every year even at a stabilisation of 1.5°C rise of temperature, the latest IPCC report states. The city will face double heat and humidity in addition to increased frequency of tropical cyclones.
