Hamro Party to form board in Darj municipality
The newly formed Hamro Party (HP) in its debut contest defeated major political parties to form the new board of the Darjeeling municipality. The three-month-old party - formed in November 2021 - scored an emphatic victory, winning 18 seats out of 32. Its candidates in other wards where it failed to win, also gave a close fight to competitors.
