From Digha to Ghum, four ultra cyclists cover 825 km in 49 hours 
12 cyclists participated in the World Ultra Cycling Association race, covering an 825 km stretch from Digha to Ghum. Four cyclists completed the race within 49 hours and qualified for the Race Across America or RAAM. Amit Samarth finished first in 40 hours 23 minutes, 8.5 hours less than the cut-off time. Biswadip Nag, a cyclist from Siliguri, emphasized the importance of proper nutrition in high endurance races. The race included seven stops for refueling and repairs.
