Deliberate delay in BUDA scandal probe, says AAP Belagavi Rajkumar Topannavar, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party, alleged on Friday that the deputy commissioner and Lokayukta sleuths are deliberately delaying the probe into the site allotment scam in the Belagavi Urban Development Authority. Topannavar said that Buda has illegally allotted around 130 prime sites in Belagavi in March 2022 by holding a manual auction for the auction neither was a notification given nor deposits taken from bidders the sites have been sold for far less rates compared to the online auction conducted just a day before. I had given a complaint to Lokayukta as well as the Urban Development Department in December 2022 Joint Secretary of the Development Department had written to DC Nitesh Patil to conduct an inquiry and submit a report in a week even after a month has passed the DC hasn’t conducted any inquiry due to political pressure. The Lokayukta was supposed to conduct an inquiry within 10 days and lodge an FIR, but Lokayukta sleuths have not taken statement they have asked me to meet them in March this is a clear indication of derailing a case. Demanding an inquiry we will protest at the DC office from Monday.
