Create cultural blockade against Visva-Bharati bulldozers: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee
Chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday asked her cabinet colleagues to thwart any attempt by Visva-Bharati to "bulldoze" and forcibly evict Amartya Sen from the 13 decimals of land in his home Pratichi. Trinamool will stage protests on May 6 and 7, which will include poets, intellectuals and Baul singers, along with party workers, around Pratichi to pre-empt any such move.
