Cops in Noida launch 15-day drive to check old vehicles
Traffic police in Noida have launched a 15-day drive to identify vehicle owners who are not following pollution control norms. Violators will face strict action, and teams have been set up to conduct checks at various points in the city. The drive will focus on end-of-life vehicles and will include checking pollution and fitness certificates. Vehicles exceeding their end-of-life tenure will be seized. This initiative is in response to the revised GRAP guidelines released in July, which aim to address the serious pollution levels in the Delhi-NCR region.
