Congress promises to bring back schemeThe former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, announced that he would be reintroducing the Shaadi Bhagya scheme, which was discontinued by the BJP government three years ago. This scheme provides financial aid to women who are married to men from minority households. Siddaramaiah assured that, if the Congress is voted to power in the upcoming assembly elections, the minority budget will be increased from the present Rs. 3150 crore to Rs. 5000 crore. Shivakumar, the Chief of the DK Shivakumar Congress, said that the BJP's achievement is making Karnataka the corruption capital of India.
