Cong to hold separate coastal-Malnad Yatra
The general secretary of the Indian National Congress, Randeep Singh Surjewala, spoke in Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday about the party's plans for a Karavali Praja Dhwani Yatra in 26 constituencies in Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada in two phases. The first phase of the yatra will end on February 9, and the second phase will begin on February 16 and end on March 10. The yatra will be led by senior Congress leaders, and its purpose is to rebuild a new, positive narrative of progress, prosperity, and harmony in the coastal Karnataka region. The BJP, which has been in power in Karnataka for the past two years, has been criticized for its handling of the Paresh Mesta case and its policies in the region.
