BJP state unit vice-president BY Vijayendra said on Saturdaythat communal tension in Karnataka has risenever since his father, BS Yediyurappa, resigned as chief minister. "There was peace andcommunal harmony whenmy father was chief minister. But things have changed after Basavaraj Bommai took over the reins of the state," he told reporters. However, he immediately defended Bommai by blaming opposition parties for the heightened communal tension.
