Centre decision on reducing coal transport spells trouble in Punjab
Instead of finding any benefit, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited fears escalated cost during the current surge in demand because the Union power ministry has recommended the states to import coal for up to 10% blending in order to maintain stock for the next few weeks. It will help the coal-surplus states, while Punjab is in crisis.
