Calcutta HC asks NIA to probe Ram Navami clashes
The Calcutta High Court on Thursday ordered a probe by the National Investigating Agency (NIA) into the Ram Navami violence at Shibpur in Howrah, Rishra in Hooghly and Dalkhola in Uttar Dinajpur on March 30 and directed Bengal Police to hand over all material to the agency within two weeks. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari and three others had moved the HC seeking an NIA probe into the violence.
