Bridge corporation wants more funds, Chilla road work stuck 5 years on
The UP State Bridge Corporation Limited (UPSBCL) has requested the Noida Authority to increase the budget for the Chilla elevated road project from Rs 787 crore to Rs 940 crore due to a rise in construction material costs. The 6km-long bridge, which was initially allotted a budget of Rs 605 crore, has faced multiple budget revisions over the years. The Noida Authority has forwarded the request to the state government for further action. The UPSBCL is optimistic about receiving approval for the new budget so that work can commence soon.
