Bad roads in Dharwad make commuting a Herculean task 
A student in second grade would likely read this essay and understand that the roads in the city are in poor condition and that the authorities responsible for repairing them have not been doing their job very well. The heavy rain that hit the city during monsoon has made the roads even worse, and the election year has made things worse because the officials responsible for repairing the roads have been taking shelter under the model code of conduct. The stretch connecting the old dsp office circle to haliyal tollnaka and from there to belagavi road via german hospital circle and sp’s office is crying for attention, and several months ago local Mla Arvind Bellad performed bhoomi puja with pomp for the works on this stretch, but no repair work has commenced till date. The movement of heavy vehicles on this route has caused cracks, potholes, and other problems, and the stretch connecting railway station to uday hostel goa road from anjaneya nagar to railway gate hindi prachar sabha circle to station road and several other interior roads have also developed several potholes.
