Assam police to absorb every 'Agniveer': CM
Amid the raging protests against the Centre’s Agnipath Scheme, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Friday that every ‘Agniveer’ who is a permanent resident of the state will be directly absorbed in the state police at the end of their four-year term in the army.
