Assam: 24 students rescued from flooded ‘road’ in Majuli
About 24 schoolchildren on Saturday were rescued from a flooded embankment, which is used as a road to go to a government-run elementary school nearby in Majuli. The district administration was alarmed when the floodwaters reached the embankment.
