Alumni attend meet organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT KanpurThe Kanpur alumni association organized a alumni meet on Sunday around one hundred alumni of the 1972-2022 graduating classes attended. President of the alumni association, Mayank Gupta, said that mentorship and sponsorship programs for the needy students will be enhanced along with infrastructure-based interventions. Membership base expansion will be the main focus of the association this year. The main intention of the meet was to gather old students and give them a day of memories and ponder upon ways by which they can be a useful resource for their alma mater. Anish Upadhyay, of the MSE department at IIT Kanpur, was the chief guest, and a number of dignitaries, including Amitabh Bachchan, Cabinet Minister, Amitabh Bajpai, MLA, and Prof. Neeraj Mishra, Hod Maths Department, IIT Kanpur, were present.
