After years of struggle, teachers get job letters from Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann
Many middle-aged teachers in Punjab received job letters in Punjab Agricultural University on Thursday. The letters were only given to teachers who have passed a merit-based test. Master Cadre teachers are only given these jobs if they have a good record of teaching in the past. Mehar Singh, a 38-year-old Punjabi teacher, received a letter to work as a master cadre teacher at a government school. Singh is one of many middle-aged teachers who have been struggling to find jobs in government schools for years. Singh said that he is glad to have received a better opportunity to serve in a government school.
