A day after being sentenced to one-year rigorous imprisonment by the Supreme Court in a 1988 road rage case, former Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu tried to buy time but could not succeed and finally surrendered before a local court in Patiala late on Friday afternoon.
